Always resize images in a painting program, like Photoshop or Painter, rather than in Quark. It will reduce output time and probably save you money at the service bureau.

In MultiAd Creator, if you have an item that is behind layers or small or just difficult to select with the mouse, you can use the tab key. Each time you press the tab key, another item will be selected. Eventually, your difficult item will be selected.

Often you will want to crop large screen shots that you've taken using the command-shift-3 command. You can do this using Photoshop, providing that you have Photoshop. But there's a better way using a feature found in Mac OS 7.5. Open the Scrapbook (a long-time Mac desk accessory, usually located under the Apple menu, that is used to save frequently-used text clippings, pictures, artwork, sounds, etc.). Open the screen shot. Using the selection tool, click and drag around the object you want to use. Copy. Click on the Scrapbook. Paste. (The item is now in the Scrapbook). Click and drag the item from the Scrapbook anywhere on to the Desktop and drop it. The graphic turns into something called a Picture Clipping. Rename this to whatever applies. You can now double click this file and only the item you want will come up. allowing you to copy it and paste it into other programs.
