YOU DECIDED! Thanks to an E-mail-in effort several months ago by
all of you, I was able to produce a limited run of several brass different
locomotive conversion kits including the Forney. These use readily available
N-Gauge or NWSL chassis to produce excellent running locomotives at a fraction
of the cost of other models. I decided to produce the Forney style loco
because of the numerous problems modelers were having recently with the
popular Car Works SRRL #6. Their's was a beautifully made model, but it
would not negotiate a radius less than 18", could not pull a reasonable
number of cars and cost $300.00 plus shipping and tax in the process! The
model offered here costs just $50 and is designed for use on a Kato mechanism
(noted for it's fine running and costs only $34) which will negotiate an
11" radius and pulls several cars! For the real budget conscious, it
will also fit a Bachmann Switcher or Prarie Chassis. Both variants are shown
for you to make the decision. Just think, a great running Brass Forney for
less than $99!!! You can build 3 and still have change! Please Note: The
kit does not include any detail castings or chassis. It comes with body,
full instructions, plan drawings and a photo of the completed model for
reference.
Thanks to all of you who made the last few kits a success.
