One of the coolest new features of Illustrator 6.0 is the ability to 
apply filters to placed images. To save disk space, instead of 
duplicating all your Photoshop filters to use in Illustrator, simply 
place an alias of your Photoshop plug-ins folder in your Illustrator 
plug-ins folder. This will give you access to all your filters in 
Illustrator without having to duplicate them.
