I am mad about Robert Mitchum. I first saw him at an afternoon matinee of "Out of the Past" in Paris back in 1983. That voice, that face, that physique! I've been hooked ever since. At that time I began collecting his photos which I display in what has come to be known as the "Mitchum Kitchen." When Mr. Mitchum died on July 1st, I redirected my sadness into scanning the photos from my kitchen and building this online tribute to a true Hollywood maverick. His image says it all so I have only added quotes from the eloquent man himself or one of his admirers. Please move through the site by clicking on the images of Mitchum. At least one photo per page will be hyperlinked to the next. To start the tribute click here.
Your comments are welcome. As my friend Lizabeth Scott said, "I grieve the loss of the man I so admire, Robert Mitchum." ![]() |
